But, if you don't, and believe you've made a mistake updating to iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4, then you will be pleased to learn that you can still downgrade to iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1. Because, at the time of writing, Apple is still signing the iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 firmware on its servers, which means you can downgrade from iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 for an extremely limited amount of time. First of all, you have to download and save the iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 firmware file and save it to your desktop. Make sure you download the correct file otherwise the restore process will simply fail.

Once the file has been downloaded and saved, you have to turn off Find My on your iPhone and iPad. You can do this by going to Settings > Apple ID > Find My > Find My iPhone. Turn off the feature from here and enter your Apple ID password when asked for it.
